It is an exciting time to join the Development Directorate at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. We are a team of around 30, responsible for raising philanthropic income from individuals, companies and foundations. Approximately 20% of Kew’s income is from philanthropic funding. Our supporters are key to making the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew’s vital science and conservation work possible.
We are looking for an astute and efficient fundraising professional to join our busy and successful Legacies and Commemorative team to support the delivery of our strategy to maximise Kew’s fundraising revenue. The role of Development Officer is crucial in securing income whilst ensuring an outstanding supporter journey for our valued supporters and prospective donors.
Supporters who choose to donate to Kew through a gift in their Will or in celebration of a loved one have a very special relationship with the charity, and we take pride in honouring their trust in us.

With a proven background in a fundraising or similar role, our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a methodical, measured, and sensitive approach across both income streams. You will be a team player who can manage conflicting priorities and work on your own initiative.

This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary for this position is £29,000 - £33,000, depending on skills and experience [Development Grade]
