Development Manager, Individual Giving
We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and influencing skills, and a vision for growing income from regular giving and fundraising appeals at RBG, Kew to join our Development Team. You will need a track record of developing and implementing a strategy for income growth, ideally for a charity or membership organisation. Individual Giving provides a vital source of income for RBG, Kew and this role is a great opportunity to shape how we maximise its potential as part of a major comprehensive fundraising campaign.

We are looking for someone who has a successful track record in planning and implementing an appeal programme, annual fund or campaign. The postholder will be creative and willing to input and research ideas for growing these individual giving schemes, as well as comfortable working through the practicalities of delivery across multiple departments.
You will be confident at influencing and negotiating with different teams and stakeholders. You will be comfortable creating briefs for data analysis and interpreting the insights to develop strategies for income growth. This role will involve working in a busy office environment and you will need to manage multiple deadlines and have a keen eye for detail. You will enjoy developing new ideas and products from inception through to delivery.
Ideally you will have an understanding of the legal and regulatory environment for fundraising (e.g. data protection, direct debits and Gift Aid).
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary will be £36,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
